The Foundation was set up as a Cultural Foundation to promote the development of solidarity principles between Sea people through the “Union of the oceans” ceremony.
 

The Foundation also works to encourage Sea culture, Peace between Sea people, cooperation for sustainable development, the defence of the environment and the promotion of economy and research, the encouragement of voluntary work and the planning and carrying out of cooperation programs and cultural, educational and civic projects connected with the Sea, the oceans and their people in the broad sense.
