Marine Reserves: protected paradises

This project intends to announce the state of those Spanish marine areas which deserve a special protection due to their special richness. It wants to be a link between the many groups who are doing research or working on underwater image in Spain and those persons who are interested in nature, diving or the environment.

The object of this ambitious project is the carrying out of a detailed study of the different national, regional and local Marine Parks of Spain. The first study has been carried out in the Archipelago of Cabrera, the first National Marine-Terrestrial Park (the highest protective designation in Spain). With a long history since its declaration in 1991, this Park is an international reference in the field of marine conservation.

Inland Waters

The objective of this initiative is the study and diagnose of the present quality of the different inland waters and the proposal of corrective measures for a right use.
